dc.description.abstract Presenting the effects of religion especially upon the family, gender roles, and the workforce is important. Islam's compatibility or incompatibility with modernization and feminism is one of the most important issues shaping the lives of Turkish women. The aim of this research is to show the obstacles that modernity and feminism face in the secular Islamic country of Turkey from a gender perspective. en_US
